ESPN and Dish Network business contract dispute

ESPN, based out of Bristol, Connecticut, had been sued on a number of claims by Dish Network Corp. concerning a business contract dispute. Dish claimed that ESPN violated a most-favored-nation clause that was contained in the contract. This clause supposedly meant that ESPN was obligated to provide Dish the same terms that it offered any competitor regarding its sports programming contract.

Trade Secret Misappropriation: Soliciting a Former Employer's Customers

An issue that often arises is an employee, upon terminating his or her employment, attempting to solicit his former employer's customers. An employee can plan to go into competition with his employer and may even take active steps to do so while still employed. However, an employee may not use his employer's confidential information to do so.
